Train to install itClimate and what it means
Vancouver is mild and wet much of the year, with frequent rain from fall to spring. In a wet climate, drainage is the big question. Safescapes notes that poured rubber is not waterproof. It's porous, so water drains through to the slope or drainage path underneath, which helps keep it non-slip. Pour sealers can be added if you need water diverted.
Where it fits in Vancouver
A porous surface that drains instead of pooling suits rainy patios, pool decks, rooftop terraces and covered play areas.
Poured rubber usually goes over what's already there. Concrete is the most common base, and Safescapes also lists stone, asphalt, interlock, wooden decks and gravel. That keeps resurfacing jobs simpler than tearing out and re-pouring. After installation, the typical wait is 48 hours before walking on it, depending on temperature and humidity.

Have the size, the current surface and its condition, and the colours you want ready. Safescapes says those, along with leveling and prep work, are what drive the price. The form below sends your request with a Vancouver source tag and a reference number.
